How to Learn on Africoders

A practical guide to Career Explorer, Academy courses, Student Hub, and Aurora — without drowning in tutorials.

Learn on Africoders is for useful skills — not endless content consumption. Use it to pick a direction, practise deliberately, and leave artifacts you can show later under Build.

1. Choose a path

Open Learn and use Career Explorer when you are unsure. Students can start in Student Hub; self-taught builders should pick one stack and stick with it for a season.

2. Take courses that produce work

Academy courses matter when they end in projects you can put on your Passport. Prefer modules that ask you to ship something runnable.

3. Ask Aurora for the next step

Aurora is strongest when you ask concrete questions: “What should I learn next for backend roles?” or “How do I leave tutorial hell?” Pair answers with a course or roadmap, then move to Build.

4. Measure learning by artifacts

If you cannot link a demo, repo, or write-up after two weeks, your learning loop is too thin. Learning that never becomes Build stays invisible to Grow.
