Community Poster of the Week
Share something useful. Quality beats volume.
Each week, Africoders recognises one member who posted something genuinely useful in the community. Poster of the Week is currently available to participants with a Nigerian bank account. Nigeria-only: participants must have a Nigerian bank account to receive Poster of the Week rewards. Members, Africoders Team members, and staff who meet that Nigeria-only requirement may take part. Staff may join to encourage builders; recognition is for useful community posts, not for volume or spam. This is not a race to post the most comments. Short, repeated, or copy-paste posts do not help. Helpful questions, clear explanations, and honest progress updates do. Join the challenge, then post in the community this week. Staff review quality-capped scores and pick one Poster of the Week. The winner receives a ₦5,000 wallet prize — never automatic from post volume.

Build something useful for Africa. Create a small, practical product that solves a real problem or makes something meaningfully easier for people. You can build: - a web application - mobile application - API - developer tool - AI-powered tool - automation - educational tool - productivity tool - business tool - community product - or another useful software project The goal is not to build the biggest product. A small, finished and useful product is better than a huge unfinished one. Participants should focus on: - solving a real problem - shipping something usable - demonstrating good technical execution - creating a clear user experience - documenting what they built Build something useful. The platform includes user authentication with role-based access control (RBAC), product search and filtering by category, shopping cart functionality, PayPal payment integration, address management, order history, and product reviews. Admins can add, edit, and delete products, while users can browse products, manage their cart and addresses, place orders, and leave reviews. The system also includes stock validation to prevent users from adding more items to their cart than are available in stock.
