Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

Africoders exists so African builders can Discover careers, Learn with roadmaps, Build proof, Connect with peers and mentors, Earn Execution Reputation, and Grow into opportunities. The AUP keeps that loop safe, fair, and professional.

2. Allowed use

In good faith, you may:

• Create a Builder Passport, publish projects, and participate in challenges.
• Use Academy, Career Explorer, roadmaps, PromptGist, and developer tools as licensed.
• Collaborate, join communities, book experts, and apply to opportunities.
• Recruit or hire using published proof and intentional applications — not scraped spam.
• Founders may brief Studio or run collaboration workspaces within product rules.

3. Prohibited conduct

Safety and dignity

• Harassment, hate speech, threats, stalking, or doxxing.
• Sexual exploitation, child sexual abuse material, or grooming.
• Encouraging self-harm or violence.

Security and fraud

• Phishing, malware, credential stuffing, or attempts to compromise accounts or infrastructure.
• Fraudulent payments, chargeback abuse, or stolen payment instruments.
• Impersonation of people, companies, or Africoders staff.

Integrity of proof

• Falsifying Passport projects, challenge submissions, endorsements, or employment history.
• Selling or buying fake reputation, reviews, or certificates.

Access and privacy

• Scraping private member content, circumventing authentication, or abusing APIs beyond documented rate limits.
• Sharing others’ personal data without a lawful basis and consent where required.
• Uploading content you do not have rights to share, including pirated courses or stolen codebases presented as your own.

Spam and manipulation

• Unsolicited mass outreach, affiliate schemes, or SEO spam.
• Manipulating rankings, search, or discovery algorithms.

4. Enforcement

We may remove content, limit features, suspend or terminate accounts, void fraudulent reputation signals, and — when required — report activity to authorities or payment partners. We may investigate using logs, reports, and related account data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Appeals: email support@africoders.com with your username, the action taken, and any relevant context. We aim to reply within a reasonable period on business days; outcomes are final at our discretion for clear AUP breaches.

5. Reporting

Report abuse via in-product tools or support. Include URLs, usernames, and timestamps when possible. Do not engage vigilante harassment while a report is pending.
