How workspaces work
Milestones, tasks, deliverables, and updates in one room.
Workspaces
A workspace is a shared execution room for teams, expert engagements, and client delivery. It is designed for clarity: who owns what, what “done” means, and where proof lives.
Building blocks
- Members with roles (owner, contributor, expert, client)
- Milestones for major outcomes
- Tasks assigned to people with owners and due dates
- Deliverables for proof links and files
- Updates for decisions, blockers, and status
How workspaces get created
They can be opened manually or from collaborations, opportunities, and services — so hiring or booking flows can continue into delivery without losing context.
Visibility and privacy
Clients and collaborators only see workspaces they belong to. Visibility is members-only by default. Do not paste secrets into public Passport projects; keep credentials in secure channels agreed with the team.
Healthy workspace habits
- Write scope and definition of done in the first update
- Prefer small milestones over one giant “launch” blob
- Attach deliverable links when a task completes
- Communicate early when timelines slip (Community Guidelines apply)
When to use a workspace vs chat alone
Use Inbox for outreach and light coordination. Use a workspace when there are multiple deliverables, stakeholders, or paid work that needs an audit trail.
