Four doors into the student journey — pick the one that matches today.
How students move through Africoders
Learn a skill → ship a small project → show it on your Passport → apply with proof.
Courses to start with
Pick one path and finish a thin slice before adding more.
Show work people can verify
A Builder Passport with one shipped demo is worth more than a long list of unverified skills. Keep projects, challenges, and honest skills in one place.
Beginner challenges
Ship something small and earn your first execution signals. Challenges turn practice into Passport proof.

Week 3: Builder Pitch
Imagine you have ₦10M and a full developer team. What problem in Africa would you solve, and how? Write the problem and your solution in 250 words or fewer.

Community Poster of the Week
Each week, Africoders recognises one member who posted something genuinely useful in the community. Poster of the Week is currently available to participants with a Nigerian bank account. Nigeria-only: participants must have a Nigerian bank account to receive Poster of the Week rewards. Members, Africoders Team members, and staff who meet that Nigeria-only requirement may take part. Staff may join to encourage builders; recognition is for useful community posts, not for volume or spam. This is not a race to post the most comments. Short, repeated, or copy-paste posts do not help. Helpful questions, clear explanations, and honest progress updates do. Join the challenge, then post in the community this week. Staff review quality-capped scores and pick one Poster of the Week. The winner receives a ₦5,000 wallet prize — never automatic from post volume.

Week 1: Introduce Yourself + Choose Your Goal
Tell us your nickname, why you joined Africoders, what you are currently learning or building (or want to learn/build), and the one specific goal you will work toward over the next 10 weeks.
-
Week 2: Show Us What You're Building
Post about a project you built, are building, or built before. Explain the problem, what you made, and what you learned.
What you can use
Courses, challenges, and opportunities — resources for campus builders, not a separate product.
Challenges
Ship in public, earn Passport signals, and practice under real constraints.

Internships and early-career roles that look for demos, not buzzwords.
Browse opportunities →Build before graduation
Start a course, ship one project, and keep your Passport current.
