Building a six-month learning roadmap
Africoders Editorial
1 min read
A focused roadmap beats random tutorials. Define outcomes, milestones, and proof checkpoints.
Six months is long enough to change your trajectory and short enough to stay concrete.
Define the outcome
Example: land a backend role or ship a production SaaS side project. Write it as a testable statement.
Break into milestones
Month 1–2 foundations, month 3–4 projects, month 5–6 polish and applications. Attach a Passport artifact to each milestone.
Review monthly
Drop topics that no longer serve the outcome. Add challenges that close skill gaps revealed by real work.

Roadmaps are living documents. Update them when reality teaches you something new.
