Learning and mentorship
Getting the most from a mentor session
Africoders Editorial

Mentorship is leverage. Arrive with questions, context, and a decision you need to make.
Great mentors multiply your judgment. They cannot replace your execution.
Before the session
Send a one-page brief: goal, constraints, what you tried, and two options you are considering.
During the session
Ask for frameworks and next experiments — not for someone to do the work. Take notes in public if appropriate.
After the session
Ship one agreed action within seven days. Report back. Mentors invest more when they see follow-through.
Closing
Mentorship compounds when paired with weekly shipping.
