Balepepe — Nigerian Fashion E-commerce Store

Balepepe is a V1 e-commerce website concept for a premium Nigerian fashion brand. I built the experience around a clean, minimal shopping journey where users can browse products, view items and move from the website to WhatsApp to complete an order. The goal for V1 was not to build a complex e-commerce system, but to create a simple and usable shopping experience that could work for a small fashion business immediately.

Many small fashion brands sell through Instagram and WhatsApp but do not have a proper online storefront where customers can easily discover and browse their products. Balepepe solves this by giving the brand a professional online store while still using WhatsApp as the final sales and payment channel.

Built a functional V1 storefront with product browsing, categories and a clear customer journey. Instead of adding payment integration at this stage, I designed the checkout flow to move the customer smoothly to WhatsApp, where the order and payment can be completed. This means the V1 can already work as a real sales channel while keeping the buying process simple. A future version can introduce direct online payments and more advanced e-commerce features.
