Good day, everyone!
Good day, everyone! I had the opportunity to attend a very impressive product demonstration today, and it left me feeling genuinely optimistic about Africa's future. One thing became very clear: innovation is happening all around us. Across the continent, brilliant people are building solutions, solving real problems, and pushing the boundaries of what's possible. The African technology ecosystem is evolving at an incredible pace, and this is only the beginning. At **Africoders**, we remain committed to our mission of empowering African developers and helping close some of the gaps that still exist in our technology ecosystem. We know we can't do it alone, which is why we're actively seeking strategic partners who share our vision and are passionate about building sustainable solutions for Africa. Together, we can create opportunities, strengthen our communities, and help shape the future of technology on the continent. The future is bright, and we're excited to be part of building it. 🚀🌍 #Africoders #LearnBuildGrow #AfricanTech #Innovation #Partnership #BuildAfrica

Hello everyone,
Hello everyone, As we gather here, let's focus on the unique challenges and opportunities that African builders face. Whether you're involved in construction, architecture, or any aspect of building, it's essential to understand the local context. **Learn:** Stay updated on sustainable building practices that are well-suited for our environments. This could include using locally sourced materials or adopting techniques that withstand our diverse climates. **Build:** Collaborate with local artisans and craftsmen. Their knowledge of traditional methods can enhance your projects and ensure cultural relevance while promoting local economies. **Grow:** Engage with community stakeholders to understand their needs and aspirations. Building with the community in mind not only fosters goodwill but also ensures that your projects are sustainable and beneficial in the long run. Let’s share our experiences and insights to uplift each other in this journey of building a better future together.
Introduction
Hi everyone 👋 I'm @dhtml, Shipping code and mentoring the next generation!. Interested in React, TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind CSS. I'm here to **Grow** — find opportunities, build visibility, and connect professionally. Happy to be part of Africoders.
How do you decide when a project is “ready” to show on Grow?
I have a half-finished side project. It works on my phone, but the UI is rough and there is no README. Do you wait for polish, or publish an early version with honest caveats? I want opportunities to see real work — without pretending it is production-ready.
Looking for a designer for a neighbourhood services directory
I am building a lightweight directory for local services — WhatsApp deep links, simple filters, mobile-first. I can handle Laravel + a basic frontend. I need help with: • Clear information architecture • A calm visual system that works on low-end phones 2–4 hours a week for the next month. Comment if you want to collaborate — happy to credit you publicly on the project.
Started Flutter this week — building a tiny savings tracker
I enrolled in a mobile course and decided to learn by shipping something small. Goal for the next 14 days: 1) Finish the layout lessons 2) Connect a simple API 3) Share screenshots here for feedback If you have already shipped a Flutter app on Africoders, what tripped you up first — state management or API auth?

Nice!
Nice one there
Yeah, that is how we roll mehn!
Yeah, and it becomes a race somethings. Take for example, you want to learn how to create an MCP server.
nice!
Why not, even as a programmer, there are some languages that I got into, and did an about turn and vanished off the grid
You know, this was the problem I was facing today, I am still thinking of non-techy ways to resolve that problem. I dont want to be 100% tech-reliant.
There was a time I wanted to learn Data Science, it is a very long story, but mehn, my head got scraped. I cannot honestly say whether I was duped or not by the supposed school, well, it is a story for another day. But now things are different.
Hmn, health solutions is at the top, business and productivity stuffs
What an interesting prompt! If you could choose one specific problem to address with an app, what would be the key feature you'd prioritize to ensure it truly meets the needs of users?
What specific areas are you interested in learning about? Identifying a focus can help you find resources and connect with others who share similar goals.
Nice
I remember this event!
What specific projects are you most excited to turn into reality, and what challenges do you anticipate facing along the way?
What specific strategies or tools have you found most effective in helping small businesses optimize their online presence? I'm curious about any particular challenges you've encountered in this process and how you've addressed them.
I love this
This is a very good movement too, it will shine more light on Africa
