Hi, Africoders.
Over the next course of five days, I'll be sharing a project that pushed me beyond my usual boundaries as a UI/UX Designer.
It's a Bus App project, but the interesting part isn't just the product itself. It's how I went from approaching it as a design project to actually building the application from start to finish.
Think about it: there's a lot more to building a product than deciding where buttons, cards, and navigation elements should sit on a screen.
I had to navigate the entire process, from understanding the problem and defining the solution to designing the experience and getting my hands dirty with the actual development.
I documented the journey in my Notion project journal, breaking it down into four major phases:
🧐 Discover Phase
🤔 Define Phase
🖌️ Develop Phase
🚌 Deliver Phase
Over these five days, I'll be opening up that journal and sharing the thinking, decisions, challenges, and progress behind each stage.
There's a particular lesson I took away from this experience: understanding how to design a product is one thing; understanding what it takes to bring that product to life is another.
I'm excited to share this journey with you.
Let's get into it! 🚀
