Finora (AI-Powered Personal Finance for Nigerians)

Abdulfatai @abdulfatai · Ilorin

The problem

Many people manage their finances across different places such as bank apps, POS transactions, cash, receipts, notes, and spreadsheets. This makes it difficult to get a clear picture of how much they spend, where their money goes, and how much they are saving. Students, workers, freelancers, and other people with regular or irregular income may know their transactions but still struggle to understand their overall spending habits.

What they built

Finora is an AI-powered personal finance platform that helps people track, manage, and understand their money in one place. It is designed for students, young professionals, freelancers, NYSC corps members, small business owners, and anyone who wants better control over their finances. Users can record income and expenses, scan receipts with AI, view spending patterns, receive personalized financial insights, and generate financial reports.

Storyloom

Vestor @kingdomvestor · Lagos

The problem

The hardest part of social storytelling is not the idea — it is the conversion. Smart founders, marketers, and creators already have the insight, but most of their content never turns into polished visuals because the process is fragmented, slow, and design-heavy. Existing tools either require a blank-canvas workflow or produce generic outputs that do not match a brand’s voice, tone, or style. Storyloom solves this by collapsing the full content-to-visual workflow into a single product: content input, structured generation, visual editing, brand control, and export — all in one place.

What they built

Storyloom is an AI-powered content-to-carousel studio that turns a single idea, article, or web link into a polished, brand-aware 4:5 carousel in minutes. Instead of forcing creators to start from a blank canvas, Storyloom structures their thinking into editable slides, maintains visual consistency, and exports production-ready assets for LinkedIn and Instagram. It is built for founders, marketers, solo creators, and teams who need to turn insight into social content quickly without hiring a designer or spending hours manually formatting slides. The experience is simple: paste text, generate a deck, refine the content, apply branding, and export polished PNG/PDF/ZIP assets.

Medicare – Digital Healthcare Access, Personal Health Management & Payment Platform

Fortune Obumkelu @fortune · Abuja Nigeria

The problem

Problem Statement Across Nigeria and Africa, healthcare access remains fragmented, costly, and unequal. Patients face multiple challenges: 1 Limited Healthcare Access — Patients in rural and underserved communities may travel long distances to find hospitals, laboratories, diagnostic centres, pharmacies, or required medical services. 2 Limited Provider & Service Information — Patients often lack reliable information about which facilities offer specific services, whether services or medicines are available, and whether providers are appropriately verified. 3 Poor Price Transparency — Healthcare prices vary across providers, while patients often struggle to compare costs before seeking tests, treatment, or medication. 4 Long Waiting Times & Poor Patient Experience — Uncoordinated appointments, physical visits, and limited service information can contribute to delays and poor customer experiences. 5 Fragmented Health Records — Laboratory results, radiology reports, prescriptions, medications, vital signs, blood group, genotype, and other health information are scattered across hospitals, paper documents, and personal devices. 6 Poor Personal Health Monitoring — Patients lack convenient systems to consistently record and track measurements such as blood pressure, blood sugar, weight, and cholesterol over time. 7 Medication Adherence Challenges — Patients taking regular medications may forget doses or lack a centralized system for managing medication schedules and reminders. 8 Limited Health Guidance — People may be unsure whether a health concern requires self-care information, routine medical attention, diagnostic testing, or urgent care. 9 Disconnected Healthcare Services & Payments — Healthcare discovery, appointments, diagnostics, records, and payments often operate separately, creating a fragmented patient journey.

What they built

Medicare is a Nigeria-focused mobile healthcare platform designed to make healthcare access more convenient, transparent, connected, and patient-centered. This centralized platform brings several parts of the healthcare journey. Users can discover healthcare facilities and services, compare available options, book appointments, access diagnostic results, manage personal health information, monitor vital signs, receive medication reminders, interact with an AI health assistant, and manage healthcare payments through a digital wallet.
